I love seeing other peoples’ workspaces and current projects so I thought it might be interesting to show you mine. In April, Marcy (another apparel maker), Meredith (a painter), and I moved into a new studio space. It’s taken a while for us to move, get settled, and make everything feel like a functional (and cute) office. They are much better at decorating than I am, so just assume that all the cute stuff in the photos below was entirely of their curation. :)
It’s so nice to be able to spread out! We have a giant cutting table, giant pressing table, and a bunch of space to work on computers and bust out other projects as well. We’re right next door to a couple of screen printers, a letterpress studio, and the floor above us is a giant fabrication group. There are all sorts of sounds and machinery going throughout the day and evening…it’s such a lively place to work! If you’re ever near E Burnside and Grand in Portland, drop me a line and come by the studio!
