Choosing fabrics for a collection is always the most difficult part of the process for me.  I have to gather hundreds, even thousands of images, swatches, and art references before I can wrap my head around what I want to present.  This time around, it seems like the combinations I’m overall most drawn to are muted jewel tones with pops of unexpected color.  I like using the muted colors combined with great texture or drape to create a really great garment.

This Vintage French Art Deco rug keeps poking out in my mind as a guide for color. Even though it’s of the art deco era, it’s very late 60s feeling to me as well. It reminds me of one of the Mosaert capsule collections I posted on recently. What do you think of it?  Are you sold on the late 60s palettes?
